Birmingham : Daytrips
While there is plenty to keep you occupied in Birmingham, you may want to head out of the West Midlands and explore some more of England. Renting a car is a good option to see other areas of England as bus and rail transport can work out as rather expensive for group travel.
London is only 140 miles from Birmingham and is therefore an obvious daytrip choice. Packed with attractions and history, the capital city of the UK is an excellent day out regardless of age or interests. Wander around the shops of Covent Garden and Soho, or head into the centre to see the sights around Westminster. For a visit to London, it is better to take bus or rail transport from Birmingham, as parking is both expensive and difficult to find.
Discover more of northern England by spending a day in Blackpool, the most popular holiday destination in northern England. The highlights here include Pleasure Beach, home to Europe’s largest rollercoaster, the famous Blackpool Tower and a seven-mile stretch of sand. |
